If you take a peak flow recording, and then 5 seconds or so later take another, would you expect a higher or lower result? I've gotten different answers from everyone I ask but I've seen mine change from 660 to 690 to 710 with 3 readings in quick succession.

Peak flow readings back to back
Hi
The first will be the most difficult, as you get into rhythm I would expect some improvement.
Which seems to make sense by you continued increase.
flippin' 'eck - I average about 130 - and can sometimes up it to 150 on the second blow by dint of squeezing out every last squirt of air before I breathe in again. When I get infections I sometimes drop to 110 - even 100 - and I really start to struggle to even move about. Last summer when I was feeling really well I managed 170 for a few weeks and felt on top of the world. So your readings are fantastically good. You lucky thing. I don't use my meter every day just when I notice a bit of a change - for the better or worse.
Opposite for me, first is usually the best.
Trust you to be contrary O2 xx
My 3rd reading of my best of 3 is usually my highest one. It makes the average around 350 which I am happy with. x
My PEF and FEV1 are generally best on the first blow and decrease for every subsequent blow. It is the same when I go for a PFT or spirometry.
I wouldn't worry tooooooo much if I was getting those readings ,on a good day I can manage 350 max ,usually I'm about 300',
I've always been told the best of 3.
That's very good readings, so good in fact I reckon you must be free of illness
Working in the same way Huffing Techneque does?
I can get 150. That doesn't sound too good. After all the stress the DWP have caused me that doesn't surprise me at all. Thank you DWP & ATOS!
