Cough after pleural drain pneumonia

Won’t go into all the details, it’s on a previous post and don’t want to bore anyone.

But if a complicated parapneumonic effusion ( a large 1.2L) was drained February 11th, follow up March 11Th showed no more effusion but a small amount of consolidation in the base of the lung still ( very minor compared to all the other scans )

How long would the cough be expected to last. It sounds a bit wet but isn’t bringing anything up, and it’s worse when laying down, when standing up mostly fine. But I would have thought after 7 weeks it would be getting better but sometimes it sounds worse

Sorry I can't help you with your question, but it sounds good that you have no more effusion. Hope someone else will be along soon who has more experience of your problem.
