Finally find evidence that I’m not imagining my asthma triggers. I think I’m sensitive to salicylates, which are in all these mentioned culprits too....so difficult to eliminate.

Hi asthmatics can be triggered by many things including environmental factors. This is because our airways become more sensitized due to our illness.

One of my triggers is cold winds - I was out in one on Sunday and coughed my lungs up. Another one is ice cream and dust mites. x

Hi Yatzy, I have lots of triggers perfumes scented candles 😢 all which I love. It is difficult to eliminate. One of the worst ones is if someone comes near me with perfumes on. Majt

It’s much the same for me, Majt, personal or household perfumes, highly scented flowers like lilies, hyacinths, scented candles etc. It’s a bind!

I'm OK with expensive perfumes: it's the cheap alcohol based ones that take my breath away. At the moment I'm struggling with a band member's fabric softener. Hope she runs out soon.

No, can’t do expensive perfumes either 😟 Fabric conditioner a big no-no if it’s perfumed....I can do Surcare....but all the others no.

Means I can’t stay in most B&Bs, friends’ houses etc unless take my own bedding! Even then the pervasive perfume often impregnates the mattress and duvet. I’ve sat at many open windows in the night, wheezing!

I just don’t risk it these days. Expensive hotels usu have crisp, perfume free bedding, but sometimes put ‘fresh air’ perfumes in the air conditioning. Can’t win!

Good luck with the band member....she won’t run out!! 😂 there’s always a new bottle!
