Natural diuretic

Does anyone have any information about natural diuretics?

My Mum has started to need them as a result of her last exacerbation (she’s end stage COPD). She takes something beginning with F but suffers nasty side effects that hurt her ears.

She knows she needs the diuretic, but looking for alternatives.

Any suggestions or ideas would be gratefully received.

Thank you all.

I presume she is taking frusemide, but there are many other diuretics and her doctor should be able to help. It is not wise to take over the counter drugs without asking your gp, but she could ask at somewhere like Holland and Barrett if they can recommend anything and then you could consult the doctor. A completely natural diuretic is lettuce or dandelion but your mother can hardly live on them! Good luck xx
