Today I attended my new Lung Doctor who will be monitoring me for next 5 years.
She is lovely & extremely attentive & was delighted to tell me that today’s x-ray showed no sign of any cancer & my Lower Lobe has filled the gap where my upper lobe was removed.... also my wounds are healed beautifully.......
I am now going to be joining a Lung Rehab Group & am being referred to a psychologist to discuss my surgery & my recovery journey
Again a massive thank you to all the lovely people who answered my post “Stupid Question”.

I’m so glad you’ve had such great news, and have a lovely lung doctor to see you through, Hwife1. Roll on Lung Rehab, and the psychologist support sounds a very wise decision. 🌸💕🌷 Best of luck, hope all goes as well as it can.
Hi Hun, You have a Lovely Lung Doctor, She is Optimistic and so should you be. Remember your Glass is Half FULL. Always be Positive my Friend. Love n Hugs from a very Positive Optimistic Friend on this Great Forum. xxxx
Such good news Hwife1 that everything is healing and no signs of further problems and great that you have been assigned a good doctor that you like. As Hacienda says be positive the glass is always half full. Irene x
Brilliant news for you and your doctor sounds like she is optimistic too. 5 years of monitoring is the medical standard whether surgery, radiotherapy or chemo, so don't worry about that.
I share your feeling of relief, after such a stressful time.
I'm off to see my own "Wizard of Oz" tomorrow, my 3rd appointment out of 4 for the first year post treatment. I still expect the tumour to be stable and hopefully starting to calcify.
