Face masks

Hi,

I'm going on a plane next month and am considering buying some surgical face masks to wear during the journey, to prevent infections.

I've shopped around online but unsure of which type to get. A lot come from China so it's hard to tell.To my amazement, Boots or Superdrug don't sell them so I'm at a bit of a loss. Can anyone recommend something that is tried and tested.

Thank you.

I did read somewhere but cannot find it now? That sometimes face masks can do as much harm as good as you can trap germs in the mask plus they can get moist increasing the risks? However if it is a antibacterial mask then it may not be such a problem. When I was allowed to fly I had a lady opposite with a white mask that was very damp at the mouth. After the flight took it off and then went outside to smoke?

Also got mine from Amazon, Wouldn't go to GP/Consultant without one, it does stop the Germs . When in Hospital, this is what I was told to Wear as The worst places are Waiting Rooms & Planes, Will wear mine when I Fly in the next few Months. xxx

Thanks for that, so I take it that the Chinese ones are OK.

Your posts got my attention as I do long haul flights about once a year. When I asked Mr Google for an opinion I had no idea there were actually different types of mask!

Please do post when you get back and give us an update on how well yours worked?

I would be very interested.

Meantime have a great trip.

Good wishes
