Pip renewal awarded

Had some great news today after over 4 months of waiting for pip renewal.. they decided to let me keep it for another 4 years without a f 2 f assessment. So relieved.. thanks to everyone especially stone and biddy for previous advice

Congratulations!! 🎯 It's disgraceful the way people are being treated over PIP. My poor daughter is having a tough time, totally unnecessary.

Thank you. I totally agree with you.. very stressful past few months.. hope your daughter gets it sorted x

Good news indeed. Perhaps common sense as finally broken out.

One pip renewal does not common sense make, to paraphrase that old adage! It would be nice if so. This is definitely good news though.

We must remember that 'common sense' is not all that common. 🙄

Sadly that’s true. Perhaps it should be renamed ‘Quite rare but nice when it happens’ sense.

Marie1966,

I am so pleased for you.

The waiting game is terrible isn't it?

I know DWP got my renew application by the beginning of October because just before the deadline they had given me I had a letter from them saying my forms were late back! I rang and they confirmed that my forms were there. Phew!

I have been getting PIP for 2 years, in the meantime my health has gradually got worse. I've sent latest lung function test results along with other proof of my lung disease and filled in all the 'what's changed' bits. And now I wait, and wait, and wait.

Your good news has made my day brighter. xxx

Thank you wheezyof

Yes waiting game is terrible but had to keep phoning.. I also sent in all my information from consultants

Hopefully you will not have to have a assessment.. I know they are really backlogged.. keep my fingers crossed for you.. good luck x

That's great news. I transferred from DLA to Pip and had my F2F in October and after reading so many horror stories of people being refused I was extremely worried. Thankfully I had a positive result and have been awarded PIP until 2022.

So pleased you passed.. You can relax for a while now.. even though it don't take away health problems.. it's a relieve all done with for a while

Xx
