PIP panic
Hi Purr, if you have time, telephone the BLF Helpline (03000 030 555) first thing tomorrow - I believe they start at 9am. Their Benefits Advisor may be able to suggest what you should ask your doctor to include in his report.
Good luck, Annie
Good luck for today, Purr.
A letter from doctor is good, but would advise to get hold of a representative of Carers Resources at your local council and ask for help. They are mostly voluntary but very good , I have had no end of help from them, This is not a thing you can do alone, you do need help about the ins and outs of the forms. Good luck
I didn't see any doctors, completed the pip forms myself. Hard forms to complete but if you take your time and look at the help available on the net you shouldn't have any trouble.
I receive full pip and have IPF.
My GP said he was not in a position to comment on my situation as he only saw me the one time and that was about this letter to support my app for PIP.I thought oh fiddle sticks, got on to my Specialist respiratory nurse who did it for me.The picture she painted had me near to deaths door and even then would not have had the strength to open it.
I got photocopy of my notes, this includes any tests and hospital reports and covers all illnesses' s. Also welfare rights will help you with any forms, they will also do home visits if you ask. Hope this helps. Please let us know how you get on
Thanks for ur advise. I’ve rang CAB to make an appointment to help with the forms etc. They r getting back to me. Doc appointment went well although he did say he doesn’t write a letter for pip unless they contact him for one. So I’ll just wait and see. Thanks again
