Sorry, I have no cheery banter but understand how you feel.
Hopefully someone will be able to respond with some cheery distraction for you. It is hard to find some meaningful occupation at times to take one's mind off daily problems especially at, as you say, this time of year.
Awe sounds like your finding it hard too , think this time of year brings mixed emotions for everyone for all sorts of reasons , keep your chin up and I’ll do the same 😊
Wrap up warm leslie, only another 6 months before we have some nice warm sunshine, sorry that wasn't very cheery was it lol.hope you get a UV lamp and a sunbed for christmas.
I hate winter - my daughter bought me a light box - you know the light imitates sunlight so seeing the "sun" is supposed to make you happier. However, though I love the sun, I hate winter because I hate being cold. Now if this sun box were a heater it might help.
Have you got a car may be take a book a flask of tea and something to eat and sit in the car with heating on. My hubby while I was in hospital found it relaxing reading his book and watching the dogs have fun and generally chilling with the radio on. We do this together because cold affects me too. But enjoy sitting in the car watching the world go by taking our minds off thing for a couple of hours
Hi Cales, when you go out make sure that you wear a scarf so that you can put this over your mouth and nose to breathe through, this helps when its cold and it keep other peoples germs away from you. I cut down things from the garden to use at this time of the year, things like the blue iris seed pods that I kept in the shed, are great for painting and the astilbie's I spray with gold, they look good together in little pots, anything that looks ok when dried you can use or what about drawing, knitting etc. Im not very good but love to create something, anything, although I am always short of time as I love cooking so spend alot of time in the kitchen or food shopping. I always make an effort to have lunch out with the girls once a month as this is good fun and keeps me grounded. When its really bad weather its a treat to find a film on Netflix and be lazy for a day. Hope you find something to get you through the winter. Irene x
Yes it’s a constant worry for most lungies! I’m definitely not going out in the cold this winter without a scarf around my mouth and nose. I’m also trying nasal guard and first defence this winter as a last resort from catching the dreaded lergy from anyone, chin up and keep wrapped up. Don’t forget the scarf so your not breathing cold air into your lungs. Cx
