Whenever I see my lung specialist, a nurse comes in with a questionnaire for me to fill out concerning asthma. My dx was emphysema with "some" asthma. I always tell the nurse, politely, how can I differentiate asthma symptoms from emphysema symptoms? I always fill out the form, but it seems kind of useless to me since I don't know which disease is causing my symptoms. I suspect it's more the emphysema. Does anyone else have to do this?
