But the weather is tempestuous and things are hard..going to hospital to see Mum, so brave, my little fighter with half a toe all stitched up.
She wants to come back with me this time.
I’m trying to get things organised. We’ll see if she still wants to once she is home.
I’m congested more than ever. Feels like bronchial asthma. Don’t understand it, nobody wanted to give antibiotics before I left. GP said I already antibiotics more than twice last year. I thought that’s a new one!! I know all about antibiotics resistance but what is a sick woman with a rare bird to do!
Brought my nebuliser with me, had time to do nebs yesterday, that helped, got in touch with the local physiotherapist. Had a session at 6 pm, fell asleep straight away, now drinking herbal tea and puffing Ventolin!
I have to wait and see. Must be back home by 29th for more spirometry.
Well at least Aria is looking brighter, Bea sent a picture!
I take antibiotics all the time as a prophylactic so I don’t know what your drs would make of that. The good thing is I’ve only had two chest nfections since March. Hope your mum doesn’t change her mind about going to stay with you. I’m going to my mum’s this week to do drs, dentist appointments and a flu jab! I have to be home by the 26th because havecto have two teeth out at the dental hospital. My dentist can’t/won’t do it because of the risk caused by my meds!
Aria is looking good. I caught Martha sneaking in the front door this afternoon. We live on a fairly busy road and I’ve never seen her out at the front before!
It’s good to know Aria’s doing better. I hope you and your mum feel better soon too. I heard about the weather being so bad in the south west and thought of you, hoping it might just miss you (although I’m not entirely certain where your mum is) but I guess not. The weather seems to be angry in so many places this year.
All the best to you and your mum and hoping everything improves very soon 🤞
That would be ridiculous in a whole lot of circumstances but especially considering your mum's age. Sometimes I think hospitals don't think beyond their doors and don't even consider that sending people out in foul weather is a bad idea. My dad was sent out after heart surgery at 5a.m on a Monday morning (having not seen a doctor all weekend) in a blizzard. I hope you have the strength to deal with all of this, and the weather being something extra to have to cope with. 💐
Crikey, Hhp, the 5am exit sounds cruel for your dad even without such important surgery! And without a Doctors’s review for more than two days....hope all went well for him, despite that.
My daughter was discharged at 9.30pm one cold November night less than 48 hours after an emergency caesarean for her first child....fancy letting a new first-time mum and a new baby out into that cold!
These sort of silly decisions make us wonder if the NHS are a safe pair of hands. Or the French health service by Fran’s account.
9.30pm doesn’t sound any better! You have to wonder what these people are thinking. It didn’t go so well for my dad (long story) I hope your daughter and her baby were alright. It seems crazy for a health service to spend the time and money on a procedure only to throw the patient out at some ridiculous time of day and risk jeopardising everything that’s just been achieved.
It's unbelievable! Well, like yours, it's a long story, but no it wasn't a good start. The old fashioned matrons would have had a fit! As you say, jeopardises everything, and for so little gain for them as far as I can see. We sometimes seem to lose that important professional affection for the patient, which maintains quality care. Rant over! Goodnight 🌜🌟
Beautiful Aria, she takes a Good Photo. Sorry your not too good Carino and your Mum being Brave. Keep Puffing on your Ventolin & Nebs that help, hope later today you can go on your AB's. Abrazos y Besos. xxxx
I hope you get things sorted out for your Mum. I don’t know whether it is encouraging or discouraging that other health services do the same things as the NHS! Wishing you and your Mother all the best, and Aria, who looks as smug as only a cat can! All love xxx
Oh dear, Fran, what a situation to have to sort out, at speed too! I hope all works out for the best. Perhaps the best solution will be your Mum coming back with you, but the journey from the hospital may make her think ‘Thats enough travelling! Elderly mothers 😂
I’ve just heard that the carers think my mother might have a chest infection, so the doctor has been called. I’ve got an appointment I can’t miss today, so John, my husband is on his way. Fingers crossed 🤞
I can’t understand no antibiotics for you...and there I thought your GP was the bees knees. There seems to be an over reaction to antibiotics these days! Try not to let yourself get too tired...if at all possible....while you fight the bird!
Well my happy puffing friend, this little excursion will either make you or break you,but you are made of tough stuff and i know you will find a way to accomplish all you need to do.
sending best wishes and healing vibes to mum,i think she now realises that life near her loving daughter is the best way to go for the future and also would make your life a little less complicated, but still oh so busy.
i am setting up a dealership in a.b's and umbrellas and i have a feeling you will be my first client.take care my happy friend with bird in tow and lets get you home as soon as possible.
Love Ski's and Scruff's xxx
Lovely Aria love the photo. Sorry your not well Fran hope things work out well for you and your mum and she is feeling more comfortable. Hoping you get things sorted all so. Thinking of you take care Majt 💕 Xx
Oh Fran, I don't know how your coping, if you don't feel well it's going to be hard to look after your mum ! Hope you start to feel better soon so you can cope better. ( can't believe you can only have 2 lots of antibiotics a year) take care x x x🌺🌺🌺
