Can anyone explain this tight almost being squashed feeling under breastbone? inside ribs, almost like a tight elastic band is wrapped around. Don't know if this is normal in COPD or if it reflux, maybe or inflammation?
Anyone know what this is?: Can anyone... - Lung Conditions C...
Anyone know what this is?
I get that sometimes with acid reflux or used to till I started on Ranitidine. When I catch a cold I get it with bronchitis.
Try some Gaviscon?
But I would check it out with your dr though get a real answer and see what can be done.
Thank you, I will ask dr next week
Oh I know the feeling, it's like having a baby under your Rib cage. Suffer every day, worse time is evening after the events of the day, it is all to do with COPD, Reflux, Air traps, Oxygen, Floppy Lungs, I'm waiting for a Scan appointment to have a look in there. Try to do some side bends to ease it, it may work for you. Good Luck Hun. xxx
Thanks, yes it is uncomfortable and worrying too, seeing de next week will ask him xxi
This can be an indication of a lung infection, watch for other symptoms, increased shortness of breath, feeling unwell, more tired than usual, discoloured mucus etc. Check in with your doctor if symptoms indicate lung infection if you do not have an emergency pack at home. Alternatively if no other symptoms and these symptoms persist still check in with your doctor and communicate the symptoms you are experiencing.
Also try using the rescue inhaler ventolin to see if that helps relieve the symptoms a bit. Best using with a spacer if you have one.
Im already on steroids and AB's 4th night not sleeping well at all
