Has anyone had the zoledronic infusion for osteoporosis? It's other name is reclast. I had one the other day and feel terrible. I then looked online at the side effects and they are awful.

I have that as an annual infusion. The first one didn't affect me, but after the second I had 5 days of bone pain in my hips and thighs. Have you looked at the Bone Health community on Health Unlocked? It's run by the National Osporosis Society and full of others with OP who have a lot of advice and support for those with this awful disease.

Thank you I will look at that. Anything's s help at the moment.

So sorry you had a bad reaction..I have a Prolia (or Denosumab) injection every 6 months, was just slightly tired. You may want to ask for that next time. The nurse told me nobody reacts to that one.

Thanks Happy. The problem is there is no one telling you these alternatives or even the adverse effects of these drugs untill theyre in your system.
