Floor tiles that are snapping cracking underneath there layer on con create base on top thick black that's chipping off I've moved blind as the council won't touch them they took photo . In case not safe . The smell won't go it's in walls every where. The reason I'm asking is me dad called out big stile isle of grain powerstaion for protective clothing for the men the men fought and won .

If council floor is not right I'm calling all on on large estate out I've just moved in I have liver trouble but I thought on this site someone might no Thankyou for reading I have ADHD sorry about spelling

Before I go into one I need to get me facts right and builder took photo as they have to be tested he wouldn't pick one up ??????? If I'm wrong please god if I'm right they ain't covering it up

Vynal floor tiles of a certain age may contain asbestos ( Chrysotile )

As the asbestos is incapsulated in to the product it’s unlikely to present any health issues. If there is damage then the whole of the flooring should be removed and replaced.

There’s know way of knowing without being tested whether your particular tiles are affected. You can have asbestos containing tiles as well as non asbestos containing tiles on the same floor.

It’s the landlords responsibility to address the issue.

Thanku There all disturbed under carpet even looks like Tarmac and conceited upstairs I ain't having council say we replace broken ones if in years to come or now no one suffers it's high on my list as of me dad ,won the case for the people protective clothing thanks for reply .

We live in social housing, our landlord does an annual check on the floor tiles and other parts of the house (sofits and facias) for asbestos deterioration, and they arranged for a professional company to get rid of our old floor standing boiler because it had asbestos too. But my dad who owns his own house was advised not to have his old asbestos garage removed, as it could be more dangerous to move it than to leave it.

I'm in housing association just exchange women was discusting still cleaning feel like there be a cover up as security patrol estate 5pm till 5pm .

Hope you get it all sorted out with the council faithful.They should get back to you when they have looked into it. Keep nagging and speak to someone else in the council or go to your go for advise

I said on liver trust if the drink I used to drink ain't killed me 8 weeks cleaning being sick the smell will X lots of love xxxx

I feel like I'm drama Queen but every floor needs to be sealed if it is a under carpert dreading it go Tarmac top stairs ice been scrubbing it all as of that women took a lot tiles left bag found it full of tiles the smell was the worst dust thanks answering

From my understanding if you can see hessem sack like material in worn floor tile that’s asbestos bit of tile.

School I worked at had classroom floors with worn tiles like I described kids use to throw them around as all broken up.

Then during asbestos survey managers had cord carpet glued over them just in time.

Sorry I got ADHD the black on floor looks like tamas tile the free old council ones , I can't have them let this happen as workmen took photo I been cleaning and me liver if drink ain't done it fumes will it's I walls the smell if you move something sorry it sounds dramatic

It's completely black exept the edges concrete tiles old council all over Darby move carpet in bedroom stinks filthy as underneath come with it another bit looks mouldy but improbably going over top me lungs ok it's me liver but thanks for reply

What makes you think they are asbestos? I wouldn't have thought so. I have asbestos in my lungs and I used to work with it, but never heard of floor tiles made of asbestos.

I'm sorry it's they took photo and said in case the stuff underneath and disturbing floor so I have to wait it's being disturbed when walk .sorry I was worried as of liver .

What if I'm wrong after two weeks here the smell hidden under stairs was bag full of the tiles they ripped up or there animals did in hall under stars removed the bag full of dust stunk the smell ain't so bad now two weeks even scrubbing the floors of mould animal toilet ect Thankyou

Mould can be deadly, it causes people to be very ill. Spray with hydrogen peroxide you can get this from Bobbys Healthy Shop on the internet. just as a precaution if its a big area wear a mask because of your condition. But it has never harmed me in fact I drank a teaspoon for many years with apple or orange juice but it has to be food grade H202

Bless your heart Thankyou irefused to do it on ceiling they treated it I done a post I was not scare people but as I got ADHD I get mixed up.

Good read. As asbestos is in many things still but while they are not distrurbed they do not present so much of a threat but once they become airborne they are a problem.

Thank you sorry so long as at same time more grief they tried everything but it took till January to start work me daughter dog had to go hotel they packed and supposed to remove all furniture the maisonette covered over floors removed everywhere and brown and grey floors screamed now white on everything they left the

Kitchen stuff everything caked in brown still there saying I'm nutty sorry it's the generations that going suffthanks

Hi vinyl tiles once broken can be a risk re asbestos, You can get this inspected by a professional surveyor who can give you a report that you could show the council to enforce your complaint. Try the web for a suitable professional in your are

I'm grateful for reply it's as soon as contractor said no we can't touch them we have to take photo as it could be harmful . So first thing in me head was check for toxins as this whole place was used as a animal farm pellets you name it I wanted sleep on street so bad.
