My grandfather has recently been diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
We have seen adverts for an AEROSURE respiratory device and I would be keen to hear if anybody has had experience of this product, especially if it was to treat IPF or similar conditions.
I've also come across reference to salt therapy so would be keen to hear of anyone's experiences of that as well.
Thanks in advance.

I have emphysema and bronchiectasis and find my Aerosure very useful. I've only had mine for about 6 weeks but the mucus has improved greatly. Cannot really comment whether suitable for your grandfather, sorry.
Hello Polly, I have a different condition, IPF. What may be called 'shifting the gunk' was a real problem and I took Mucodyne on prescription. I was allergic to it and my teeth moved around and crushed up in my mouth. That happened within 24 hours, so if Mucodyne is working fine on the gunk then I would suggest it works for you.
Hello Kevin, I too have IPF and I would advise that Grandad is referred to a Consultant for the best treatment for his condition. It takes a little time to analyse what is going on in the lung and until that is identified it would be unwise to speculate. I have had my condition for almost 70 years, it's a slow grower! Nag the Doctor to get him seen and go from there.
