Travel insurance hike

We get our travel insurance via the bank but this year because I now take 3 inhalers the price has risen from £102 to £324! Checked with all clear insurance and gone with Zurich, half the price with £75 excess if we fall ill. (Never have in last 13 years). I cannot see how travel insurance should double in one year.

Hi

That’s the price of loyalty.

I better if you ask your bank for a quote as a new customer it will be below £324.

We asked for lower quote and they refused.

Yes I use Zurich via All clear for that same reason.

Happy to hear that. Although I have asthma I have never been hospitalised and never had to claim in travel insurance but have to have it just in case.

Is that annual/multiple trips?

If not & if you have asthma alone and no other conditions.. and, if I understand your post, paying £160 they're still robbing you IMO.

With a heart condition & copd I pay c £25 for me & OH all European including Egypt single trip.

It's asthma and hiatus hernia for me and for husband - osteoporosis arthritis, high blood pressure and benign enlarged prostate. It is multi trip for one year.
