Well done on quitting smoking Monkey and speak to your doctor about being retested. You never know, you could be pleased at the results. Xxxxx
I was diagnosed with the lungs of a 90 year old at the age of 66 but, with treatment, this seems to have remained constant over the last two years. I have never smoked, but I understand that, if you give up, your lungs revert to the natural deterioration curve of a non-smoker. Unless you have any breathing symptoms (chest tightness, mucous production, shortness of breath, etc) I wouldn't worry about getting retested just for the sake of it - you seem to be on the right track.
Always better to know your Fev1 % I think you may be pleasantly surprised after quitting the coffin sticks for so long. Well done .You could ask for a spirometry test again. Good luck
