My daily practice so I can unwind and face my chores and remind myself there is beauty and magic in the world..
« So take a couple of deep full cleansing breaths, inhale deep into the chest if you can, and out and again..
And now breathe deep into the tummy if you can, and out, and again..
And now see if you can send the warm energy of your breath to your body that’s tight or heavy and releasing the discomfort with the exhale,
so you can feel your breath going to all the tense and heavy places, loosening and softening them, and then gathering it all up and exhale again,
So that more and more you are feeling safe and comfortable, watching the healing action of the breath,
And any unwelcome thoughts that come to mind, those too can be sent out with the breath, released with the exhale, so that for just a moment the mind is empty, and you are blessed with stillness,
And any emotions that are embedded in there can be sent out with the breath, so that your emotional self can be still and quiet, like a lake with no ripples..
And now imagine a place that feels good..enjoy the colours, the scenery, the sounds of the place, maybe music.. »
That’s excellent Fran and it does seem to help. I will pass that on to a friend if mine if I may. She has terrible vertigo that causes her ears to block, could be labrynthitis.
How awful for her, she needs a good ENT, remember when I had my inner ear problem and they shook me around..I tell you things we didn’t know existed when we were young and free 😃 Cranial something therapy helped a lot.
It certainly worked for Aria, cats are amazing in that they can relax completely.
My yoga teacher once took a class in relaxation at the local hospice, and there was a chirping budgie in the corner. The budgie fell silent when the teacher was speaking the relaxing words, then woke up with a stretch and yawn at the end.
Thanks for today's words, I need them today as for some reason I keep on waking up in a panic. Not good.

Bea sent me that picture of Aria! I miss them both. Hope to get home on Sunday. Wish I was a well looked after cat 😉. Yes it is getting me through Caregiver Stress 😃at the moment.
Panic on awakening, could be the meds..when they wear off..or apnea, or being short of breath..oxygen not feeding our system enough..congestion..
if something was troubling you, you would know deep down..anxiety at a difficult day ahead can play on our mind of course.
I’d go for a check-up if you still feel uncomfortable.

Scruffynounette yearns for the glamorous looks of Aria but alas she frowns with all the worlds troubles on her matted shoulders and only looks happy when asleep.
Sometimes we need reminding that life is precious, especially if we are not well. It is easy to get into a negative state of mind, this in turn will make us feel worse.
