I am new to this community. My mom is suffering from some peculiar lungs disorder and doctors are not able to diagnose her.

Symptoms

1. shortness of breath at rest

2. cough with whitish sputum

3. fever which feels but not detectable by thermometer

4. fatigue

Light symptoms appeared 3 months ago which deteriorated to oxygen dependency within two months

Following tests have performed so far with no diagnosis

1 . X ray

2. CT scan chest

3. Tuberculosis test (negative )

4. pulmonary function test.

5 CRP

6. ESR

7. Broncoscopy

8. ABG

9. CBC

10. RFT

11. LDH

12. USG abdomin

All the above tests are inconclusive and do not provide any clue.

Anyone can please suggest something additional which might help in diagnosis

Hi igbaliqbal and a very warm welcome to you. So sorry your Mom is poorly. She has had lots of tests and we are not qualified on here to diagnose.

I so hope you get some answers for your Mom very soon.

Has she had test for auto

Immune disease. I am not saying she could have but i have been misdiagnosed for many years. Seems my blood tests have been picking up p-anca but overlooked. Now diagnosed with GPA/vasculitis/wegeners

Which is quite rare.

As others have suggested we cannot diagnose. I am wondering if the Doctors have ruled out certain autoimmune diseases? My friend's wife as lupus and at times does have shortness of breath and other symptoms you describe. Have the Doctors ruled out cardiac or circulatory problems? Have your doctor's done inflammatory marker blood tests? Diagnosis is often made by a process of elimination. If it was me I would be asking the Doctor If it not an obvious chest condition which is causing your mother's problems what other conditions could.

If you are in the UK you could phone the BLF nurse to discuss your mother's treatment. As your other posts on HU suggest you wouldn't be phased by research papers and reports, you could also try looking at papers on the Trip Database. Just put "Trip Database" in a search engine. It has a free entry level membership as well as a paid one.
