Getting Listed on the Lung Transplant List

After almost one and a half years of referrals, tests, minor operations and consultations with surgeons I can confirm that I have now been finally listed to go on the list for a Double Lung Transplant at Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester, UK. A new chapter of hope begins. I would like to say a huge thank you to the specialists, surgeons and staff at Wythenshawe as well as the medical team back in Blackpool for considering my case when everyone else thought it was a step to far.

To now know my case was referred to Houston Texas and Toronto USA for surgical advice and case study after Newcastle and London said it was a far too difficult procedure, I feel privileged as I am taking the biggest risk of my life . Today I feel blessed. x
