Unable to take Pirfenidone due to it causing sickness,so tried Nintedanib at 100mg ok for a week then sickness again, don't what to do.I feel that the way the medicine makes me feel that it's not worth continuing with them anymore, and I should just try to get on with life.Has anyone had the same problem? Thinking of having a rest from them for a week and trying again

Hi Iain, like you I couldn't tolerate pirfenidone. I was OK with Nintedanib but it didn't work for me and I continued to deteriorate. In the end I told my consultant that I wanted to stop taking it and he agreed with me. It would probably be worth you giving Nintedanib another try in case it works for you. I was told to take it with meals as some people find this helps to prevent sickness and nausea. Good luck whatever you decide.
