Hi all, the nerve pain I have been left with after the removal of an access on my lung is not getting any better, in fact its becoming more painful and the use of painkillers is not helping. The pain is located from my left side, across my chest and my left rib. Does anyone have any ideas of how I can cope with it or any ways to make it feel better.
I have had to stop working again this week as its to painful.
Thanking you in advance.

Hi this sounds very nasty and painful. If i was you I would be straight back to the doctors as this doesn't sound right at all. Don't let them fob you off and insist on further investigation etc. Good luck and let us know how you get on. x
I agree with hypercat54, you shouldn't be putting up with this, it sounds really painful. Your G.P should sort it out straight away for you. Good luck and please keep Intouch. π€πxx
Hi Lynn, so sorry you are suffering all this pain. Nerve pain is horrible but there are tablets especially for nerve pain the doctor can prescribe which will hopefully give you some relief. Taking pain killers all the time especially if they do not work properly is really horrid. Good luck and let us know how you get on. Maximonkey
If I have learnt anything about pain, it is that nerve pain is so different from any other pain. Nothing seems to touch it, well almost nothing. And by jove it is relentless π.
My doctor prescribed Lyrica for it, but it made me so dizzy and knocked out me completely. However, it stopped the pain. But I couldn't cope feeling like that and unexpectedly my gynaecologist prescribed some herbal medicine which helps immensely and no side effects. I live in Japan, so herbal medicine is not unusual when other options fail.
I know how tough this pain is, and I think you need to keep going back to your doctor and finds something that works. It's just too incapacitating.
