Hello Davej5363 and welcome to the forum. Nobody here is qualified to diagnose your shoulder/chest pain and there are so many different things it could be that it would be silly to start guessing. As one of the reasons is anxiety though perhaps try and relax and await your doctor's results after the x-ray.
Hi Dave
You will know more when you have had your xray, however should feel suddenly short of breath or unwell do not hesitate to call emergency.
Take good care x
Hi Happylondon....Thank you for a quick response yes you are right I think you think all things when you hear that...Thank you again.
Hi mrsmummy thank you very much for your quick response....I do agree with what you are saying....I think once you hear x ray and the doctor saying I am unsure I did panic and start to think all things.....Thany you very much....

Your doctor is being very sensible, I wish more were like it. Only he knows your medical history etc. I hope it's nothing, but we all worry when unexpected things happen. Let us all know the result, and all the best xx
Generally with pain such as that it is a matter of the doctor ruling out other things. He listens to your chest, sends you for an x-ray and if he didn’t hear anything out of the ordinary, and if the chest x-ray doesn't show anything he will likely conclude it is muscular, but as others have said we are not doctors so can not diagnose anything.
