Whatever the Weather.

If living in the UK

You have to move quite fast.

Cos if we get good weather

You know that it won't last.

The sun may shine quite brightly,

The swimming things come out

Before you reach the water.

The flippin' things gone out.

A cool wind now is blowing,

A cardigan you need.

Now sitting nice and comfy,

Just let me rest you plead.

But not for long I'm sorry,

You're on the move again.

I'm certain that I just felt

A little spot of rain.

If you're like your Granddad

You would not face despair.

Because if he was British

His umbrella would be there.

The nearest my grandad came to wearing summer clothes was to turn his trousers bottoms up. The flat cap, waistcoat, shirt and jacket stayed put, except when the cap was replaced by a knotted hankie on occasions.

Love the poem...thanks.....so true.

Even as I spoke the lovely sunshiney day has become dull and cloudy - might know it was too good to be true. Well at least it's not raining.... oh noooo :O x

We have just had two glorious days , much like last Month. washing dry, Hubby spent the whole day Mowing the lawn, cutting hedges, I was quite exausted watching him , sat under the Parasol, plugged in to my Mobile Oxygen which was on an extension, glass of vino. Beautiful Day. The Day Before which was even Hotter, we managed to do a lot of Flower planting. Now we have a Cooler day Wednesday, can Breathe now, Ready for my Wednesday Gym. Thanks Don, Nothing like your Poem, but good to say nice stuff. Love n Hugs Carolina xxxxx

Doeasn't get much better than that, eh? Hope there are many more to follow. ;-)
