You're trotting on quite nicely,
But then you have to stop.
Breathings got quite difficult,
You feel you're going to flop.
The stuff that you are coughing up
Makes it clear what is wrong.
It's that dammed infection.
You've not be free for long.
So out come all the tablets,
Steroids and Aunty B's
Followed by some sleepless nights,
When you're either hot or freeze
But gradually the meds take hold
You've now finished the course.
And then comes the difficult bit,
Get back on that horse!
So so true ! But we do keep going, don’t we ?
