Hello all been with partner to see lung specialists good news nodules are stable got to have another ct scan in a month or so they are going to keep an eye on nodules for next 2 years but his consultant wants him accessed for oxygen therapy aim is for long term oxygen therapy for 15 hours a day my partner hasn't took this news very well I'm sure he has lots of questions when we go next to hospital but his main question at moment is . Can he still go away in our touring caravan on oxygen he thinks it would be dangerous with having gas bottle for cooking and heating and only small area I just wondered if anyone on here does go away with a torturer

Hi shortytree, all I can say is that I knew a lady who’s late husband needed oxygen and she used to book caravan holidays once or twice a year. She always checked that the caravans were oxygen compatible and had some great holidays.

Good luck to you xxxx

Thank you sassy59 I thought that would be ok in a static caravan but not sure with our touring caravan it's only 18ft long static are far bigger I just don't want him to have to give up touring in the summer months

I would take advice from the hospital. It would greatly depend on the percentage of oxygen used and flow rate. Oxygen becomes dangerous when concentrated. Obviously you husband will take his oxygen via mask and any oxygen that goes into the atmosphere will be greatly reduced and should not be anywhere near a level that could cause danger. I am sure when you go to the hospital they will be able to give a difinative answer.
