Such is life..I coughed too much, burst a cyst and coughed up blood. It has happened before, one of the downfalls of LAM, it burns like mad but there’s not much you can do about it so I am in bed with chicken soup for now.
Sounds very painful Fran. You're getting your fair share of problems just now. The chicken soup will help a bit. I don't know anything about LAM but it sounds very complicated. Have a restful afternoon. Lilian xxxxx
Hi I read an old reply you had written to someone and called rare disease zebra and I too have lam do I qualify as a zebra with a splash of unicorn xxx much love mel xx
Doctors in training are told “if you hear the sound of hooves think horses not zebras.” i.e. elimnate the common conditions before flying off into flights of fancy. Doctors are reluctant to consider rare diseases because they don’t want to look like naive junior doctors jumping up and down, convinced that they found a rare disease. This forum is brilliant for those with rare diseases because it puts you in contact with others. There are about half a dozen here with Obliterative Bronchiolitis, I would have no chance of meeting them elsewhere. How many LAMers are there on the forum?
Sorry to hear this Fran. Lots of R and R and Aria cuddles.
Love cx
Oh no I have not exerienced that yet Fran but would really panic and feared the worse if it did so at least I know it is a cyst bursting if it does but that's not good for poor you ... you have certainly been through it this past 2 weeks ...how many times have you had anything lam related happen regarding lung collapse or cysts bursting? I hope your all bandaged up and fit to enjoy your lovely country in spring as bet it's very beautiful and can't wait for your pics you will surely share xxx Get well quickly my friend xx😉💕

Thanks for the feedback sweetheart. Take good care of yourself 💖
So sorry to hear that you're struggling still. You've had a lot to cope with lately, and indeed over the past few months!
Wishing you a steady recovery. Stay in your bed, resting, that will help. And you've Aria for cosy company!
I've got my fingers crossed on a brewing chest infection, doing all I can to stave off taking steroids....do so hate the side effects. Hoping you're not being troubled too much with them 🤞 Otherwise, I'll see you for a middle night chat! At least my back more comfortable although still on some of the more minor meds. So I've stopped crying!!! 😫 I do find meds difficult, mood changing and depressing!
Well it's certainly not 'Silence of the Lams' day, they are out in abundance and they all seem to be poorly,so Scruffy and I are sending them all a big Hannibal like hug to wish them a speedy recovery.................Skis and a cat that gets under your skin.xxx
Oh dear poor Fran, it's one thing after another for you at the moment isn't it? I do hope you get some rest and start to feel better soon. Lots of love to you xxx
Oh no, you poor thing. Life really is dealing you a raw deal at the moment. Glad you enjoyed your chicken soup. I gues rest is the answer to most things. I’ve just looked up LAM - sounds awful.
Oh no that doesn’t sound good, i hope your cat keeps a good eye on you. I don’t have any cats now but I always had this feeling with my (now sadly departed) feline friends that they had healing powers. ...ps my lovely Max was the spitting image of your Aria xx
