Hello Taylor and welcome to you. Have you had a diagnosis yet? If not, you do need to see your doctor and tell him how your life is being affected because of your cough.

I do wish you well. Xxxx

Hello, You have lots of people here to talk to. We know what you are going through and yes we really do know and understand.

Coughing is exhausting and being breathless is so scary,

Stop worrying on your own.

Firstly follow the link for the BLF leaflets, they are free and very informative.

Call the BFL helpline. They again are very helpful. They can help with what to say to/ ask your GP.

You do need help, don't be fobbed off. I promise BLF are very good.

While you are contacting them ask about Breathe Easy groups in your area.

You are among friends here, albeit we wheeze and cough, but we're here for each other, including you. xx

Sorry that you feel so lonely but I also think that you should get a diagnosis so that you can take the appropriate medication. You could insist that the doctor visits you by insisting that going outside would cause you unnecessary stress and could deteriorate your condition.

Take care

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I know you don't want to but it's so important you see the dr an get referred to a specialist about your condition. There's so much that can be done it's not fair you miss out.

I would call the surgery and insist on a home visit, if they say no ask to have a conversation with the practice manager and explain you fear leaving the house.

Your cough needs investigating and you need help to improve your situation it doesn't have to be this way honestly.

In the meantime google breathing exercises and the active cycle of breathing, lots of you tube videos showing you the techniques, these breathing exercises might help you clear the mucus a bit. Also drinking warm boiled water.

Hi Taylor49

Sorry to hear of your problems. This site is very friendly and you can discuss anything and get a friendly reply. Read the BLF sheets they are very helpful and see your GP who will be pleased to help you . Look at the you tube breathing exercises and practise them. Have a jolly good laugh at the world if you can.

All best wishes

Dan
