Does anyone know if the cannabis oil being sold legally and all of a sudden now by people like Holland and Barrett is any good for COPD?
I see it does not contain THC which is the element that causes the 'high'
Thanks

I have been taking for the last 2 months no noticeable difference in my COPD yet but a big difference in my energy levels
I believe it is the THC component which acts as a bronchodilator, though the high can be avoided. There are several posts discussing it. Try here: healthunlocked.com/search/c...
Is there any evidence based research on this remedy and lung conditions?
In my experience it doesn’t help breathing or pain control either. If it was any good it’d be illegal 😊
I buy it. Have found it doesn't help me with breathing or pain, however it does help a bit with anxiety, which I suffer from severly. I stopped using it for awhile, and noticed the difference, So started to take it again.
I get mine from Amazon
I tried the Jacob Hooey one from Holland and Barrett and, paid £20 but found it had absolutely no effect and thought this was because it was only 2.75%. It also tasted vile but would have continued if had worked . Then bought another at 8% for £54 online, better taste, but again, total waste of money with no difference whatsoever for me.
Aware it has lots of positive reviews, but unfortunately not from me.
Not sure if true. but someone told me you need the 20-50% to work. Especially for pain.
Never heard of any Legal cannabis oil in the UK. One of the reasons there is very little research into cannabis is the ridiculous difficulty of getting a home office licence to work with it. Apparently, it becomes so onerous that few people can be bothered with the additional time and costs of complying with all the regulations. Which is a shame because the human body has numerous THC and CBD receptors all over it which means the drugs do have an effect on us. The contributor who said "If it worked it would be legal" is talking absolute rubbish. We would never move forward or discover anything if we all believed that. It confuses the law with medicinal effectiveness and is totally unhelpful, illogical clap-trap. As a long-term user of various forms of cannabis, I suspect it has a worthwhile medicinal role to play and has been used in other cultures for thousands of years. Yes like anything it can be harmful in excess, and it is a big topic but I am not sure how or if it might work to help COPD at all, and at the moment, unfortunately, it IS illegal and can get you into big trouble, possessing. selling, driving under the influence, manufacturing or being involved with it at all. Take care if you do obtain any, and don't shout about it on social media.
I know several people who have tried this and say it has had no benificial effects whatsoever, people Whe said energy levels were up may do just as well with Vit D I think there needs to be a lot more research on this, but if it works for some individuals there is no harm except the price
its been n sale at Holland & Barrett for £9,99 , until end of march , then £20 , yes I asked the lady in the shop why it is legal & yes the bit that makes you high is taken out , .My friend has been taking it for 3 weeks as has made no difference to her pain in her back , was interesting to hear it helps with anxiety tho , as I do suffer a bit with that when my copd flares up , xx
Cannabis is very good medicine, anything that is sold in Holland and Barretts would not be strong enough and is probably just a food supplement which is probably high in omega oils and other nutritious goodness but not as medicine for copd. THC is what is needed as it is a natural bronchodilator CBD is an excellent anti inflamatory so for me cannabis that is high in both of these is what i would choose to use .Of course this is illegal here for some strange reason.I say this as the UK is the biggest exporter of cannabis in the world!!! Go figure. There are special licences given I believe,a young boy called Alfie is being given one of these under the guise of a medical trial, when he went to parliament 2 weeks ago he was refused but there have been new talks resulting in this special medical trial licence. This will be life changing for the young boy bless his little heart. Dont forget we are all different and what works for one may well be different for somebody else. Janexx
My conclusion after reading these posts and others elsewhere has to be that CBD really doesn't help COPD at all... blast!
