Sharp stinging pain bottom ribs.

Yep it’s me again !! Can anyone tell me what’s causing the sharp, stinging burning pain on my bottom rib mainly on the right on sometimes a little bit on the left but the right is awful, even when I’m breathing reasonable and just sat watching tv grrrr is there no peace with this illness. 😭

I'm sorry , that sounds dreadful. The only time I had excruciating rib pain was when I had pluerisy, but even a strained muscle can cause rib pain. I would definitely get it checked out of it doesn't go away. *gentle hugs*

Thanks cas thankfully it’s not here this morning but it does seem to be there a lot on and off, maybe it’s all the mucus letting me know it’s there and time to get rid 🤨 oh the joys xx carol

Yes, get it checked out. Mine was from sore intercostal muscles because I didn't take my reliever before doing something strenuous; but it's better to make sure that's the case - from what others have posted, pleurisy is a tough condition to have.

If it's that, you should be able to find exercises to help shift it. Or try singing, using your diaphragm muscles for breathing rather than breathing in the top of your chest only.
