You should definitely check with your doctor or consultant. I was issued with an acapella or a Flutter to help move the phlegm. Ask if you could have one. Your physiotherapist should show you how to do the right exercises too and how to huff. Understand how you feel when it seems to just clog up. we only have one life and in your situation you must try and make it as comfortable as possible.

I have bronchiectasis and emphysema and also lung cancer but I have so much reflux too it’s a total nightmare, if you do get any reflux make sure you get it checked, I now have jack hammer esophogus because of it which is horrendous, the nerves in that area seem a mess and may have been the radiation but no body can answer .????

i was given carbasistine tablets and they really help with clearing the mucus and thinning it. I also think walking helps I clear loads while I'm walking my dog xx

I'm in same boat as you I dont bring anything up. I have carbestine tablets but dont seem to do anything. Get phlegm as far as throat and that's it. They want me to cough it up so they can test it. Mighte ask doctor about a flutter. I cant even cough not even the physio exercises work. Good luck to you. Let's hope we can both get rid of our phelgm

I was put on carbastine tablets and they really help with clearing the mucus and thinning it. I use it every day I also have an acapella or a Flutter to help move the phlegm, given by the physio. it does help.
