Had peak flow done today has dropped since last week now 200 nurse just said increase dosage of preventitive inhaler

Hi myamoo , I am glad you contacted the nurse about your concern with your peak flow.

I was always told to double up my preventer if mine dropped , but if that didn't work ask for help again.

Can you keep a check on your peak flow, and see if it rises soon....if not go back to the nurse. I know if mine drops below 150 I need help as that is less than half of my normal reading.

Just be aware of how you feel, or if your breathing gets more difficult, ask for professional advice.

Try not to worry, my peak flow never reaches 200, generally between 130 and 150, has been 90 on occasions, as long as you aren’t feeling unwell just try to take the advice of your nurse. Good luck
