Persistent cough

Hi had a cough since Nov had 3 lots of steroids 2 lots of antibiotics an inhaler ended up in hospital on oxygen as was struggling to breath bloods and x rays come back normal got pain in side and across back still struggling with breatylips iften blue but got to wait 6 wks for tests for copd as taken medication hospital say its puzzling can anyone advise please

Stop smoking, lose weight, get a healthy diet, get exercising...

Never smoked not overweight and haven't got the energy to exercise struggle even to get upstairs

Hi Bagpuss

I would go back to the GP on Monday if you still feel poorly. However if you feel short of breath do not hesitate to phone 111 etc for advice.

Keep warm, hot water bottle on your pain, drink plenty of fluids and rest sitting up..x

Thank you really struggling as been told lung disease but not got a clue as got symptoms from pleurisy pneumonia copd emphysema never smoked in my life if they had told me about the tests would of waited a day as drugs got to be out of system for 6 weeks even hospital puzzled as everything clear
