I am wondering which device to get for my house as i have copd and feel i need something to help with the quality of air. I’m not sure whether to have a humidifier, a dehumidifier, or an ioniser or whatever else there might be.! Advice would be much appreciated, thank you.

Air cleaners
I use a hepa air purifier it filters out 99.9% of pollutants, spores allergens etc I find it helps a lot especially in the summer months
Thank you. I have a small one. I will get another for my living room.
A few drops of eucalyptus essential oils in your humidifier can also help to clear the air. Some people use salt lamps also. Its a lump of Himalayan rock salt with a light inside which heats up the salt, the theory is that it purifies the air, I can’t say myself if it works or not but many people say that it does.Hope this helps.
Thank you. Yes ive been looking at salt lamps. I think i might get one.
If nothing else sheepdog the salt lamps are very relaxing to look at and give Of a calming glow also.Good luck with it all.
I’m being a bit ‘paranoid’ here, but i have high blood pressure and anything to do with salt isnt good, but i guess a salt lamp isnt the same?
I love my salt lamp and am sure my sinus and breathing is better for it. Such a lovely light too

Thank you for your helpful reply.
Hello Hidden .
I use a humidifier in winter as it's very dry in my area and a dehumidifier in summer when it's very damp and humid. My machine accommodates both, so I don't need two machines. It needs cleaning and filter changes but on the whole I find it helpful.
I hope this helps.
