He's welcome to come and sit in my garden tomorrow,
You'd love it here Gordon, and your not that far away !
It's a heck of a walk... just over 42 miles for the quickest route on foot, at my speed I should be there in plenty of time for the 2026 airshow
The wife's working this weekend, so she has the car... Couldn't even have gone if it was still at Finningley Was there a couple of years ago, I got up close and personal with XH558

Love julie xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Make sure there not in your airspace Karen lol
We have the Bournemouth Air Show in September (well at least I think it's then) and we get the Red Arrows flying overhead then on their way to and from - wonderful sight. It was a couple of miles away that the poor pilot John Eggington lost his life a couple of years ago and they have done a marvellous sculpture in his honour. xx
I live near Duxford, part of the Imperial War Museum. They sometimes have air displays. We see the spitfire, hurricane and the lancaster planes fly over. The very sound of them bring back childhood memories. It a great place to visit.
Before we came to Royston, we lived in Farnborough. I worked there when I was married. They had an annual airshow nearby.
I love Duxford Annie we used to take my son there with my Dad when he was little brings back some happy memorys
love Julie xx x xx x
I must be the only person that's never been to an air show .... but in these parts we frequently are subjected to low flying aircraft.... scares the living daylights out of me!

Hi John.
I used to go to see the Shuttleworth collection at Old Warden a lot when I lived at Bedford. Very, very old aircraft. Now, for my sins, I live on the flight path just short of Birmingham Airport. I sit in the garden in this weather with a pair of binoculars watching all these people going on holidays that my lungs won't let me go on. Ho Hum.
Bobby
Oh dear,a week in skeggy in a caravan ???
A drive through skeggy is enough
When I was a kid, we used to take a picnic, walk across the fields and sit on the bank of the River Taw and watch Chivenor Air Display for free.
