I don't post very often but read lots of your. I have had a chest infection since xmas a course of steroids and 2nd lot of antibiotics later it does not want to go. My get up and go has gone and not coming back. I am going on holiday to Maderia tomorow for a week and I really feel like I should not be going ( I know I should not be complaining) Any views on how long this is going to last I just want the old me back. I have loss over half stone as I just do not want to eat.

It's a very stubborn virus, and I've been in this position before. My advice would be to go, and try and enjoy. If you're going to feel under the weather, it may as well be somewhere nice. It might turn out to be just what you need. XXX
Hi Poppychat , I have had this cold for going on five weeks and must admit it has really drained me. Antibiotics and steroids helped but didnt get rid of it, stubborn little virus. Just take lots of rest and drink plenty of water. I feel like it is finally going, so hang on in there and enjoy your holiday. Irene x
Hello poppylachat . I expect you are in Madeira now and I think the warmer weather may help you. I know what you mean when you say you didn't think you should go. I actually pulled out of an overseas trip sometime ago because I lost my confidence.
