I thought i would just ask what everyone does if they are feeling a bit under the weather?
I have a bit of earrache & sore throat, breathing very slightly worse, not sure if it’s the start of a cold but as i’ve just gone back to work i really want to nip it in the bud, any tips??
Thanks Vx

Well, you sound as if you have picked up a bug going back to work. The signs are there. You don't mention what your main medical problem is, but if its chest related I would use my emergency antibiotic as I would know I wouldn't want to risk it. It's difficult seeing a doctor these days and you could well be on the mend before seeing him or her. Your other option would be to give yourself 24 hours taking plenty of liquids and paracetamol for the ear pain, and rest. Then see how you are before taking the next step. Best wishes, Chrys
I have felt like this on and off all week but it hasn't developed into anything. I used Vicki's First Defence for 3 days and stayed indoors. I don't know if you have a cold brewing and I hope you don't but if you have don't take any emergency antibiotics you have. They won't have any affect on a virus.
Thanks, that what i was thinking, i don’t feel like it’s a chest infection & certainly dont have a fever etc, i have heard about first defence, will pick some up in the morning.
Great advice, hope you feel better soon, take care.
It might be an idea, for the future, to take vitamin D3 at least during the Winter months. D3 will boost your immune system which will help fight off the bugs.
Everyone should take D3 supplements during the winter because they do not get enough sunlight on their skin.
Hi Vee70 . Everyone has given wonderful advice. All I can add is rest and sleep as much as possible. Only way for body to repair itself well. Hoping you feel tons better very soon! xx 💕😪
Hello Caspiana, i hope you are well, thankyou for your reply, i am currently only doing 3hrs a day on a phased return to work, so have lots of time to rest 🤗
Gargle with a daily mouthwash like Corsodyl at the end of the day. Rinse the nostrils out with saline solution like a nettipot or similar - proven to shorten length of infection
Hope you get it sorted and feel better soon Vee70. The dreaded cough is going around in the Midlands where i live. Had my flu jabs and feeling better. Hope you do soon xxxx Brian
Vicks vapour rub in your socks at night and hot toddies!! If no improvement get checked out. A nurse recommended the feet rubbing with Vicks and I dont need much encouragement to mix myself a hot toddy!!😀
