The weather forecast doesn't look good over the weekend. I have noticed my miniature daffies are beginning to sprout. Eddie, my handsome cat is fast asleep in HIS chair next to me.
yes the bulbs are poking through , I don't blame eddie being indoors curled up a sleep I seen he has claimed a chair all to himself where would we be with out our lovely pets they bring so much joy
Half share in Dora, the Spanish water dog, Tom - lovely but doesn't like the sea and doesn't speak Spanish. But very adorable and very decorative
that did make me laugh , but you love her to bits , good to meet you 02 trees I'm new here so just getting to know people on here have you been a member for very long
Check out my profile Tom - I joined in 2012 I think (obvs need to check it myself!) The site has been through a load of changes but is great at the moment. You realise there are 30,000 of us to get to know
I did read about the amount of members that's a huge amount , I'm sorry but I don't know how to look on people profiles
I think you just click on my avatar or user name Tom. Lots of members don't write anything about themselves which I think is a shame.
thank you for the advice , I will try work out how to do a write up
You should put a photo on of little Tig. I'm sure that we'd all love to see him. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats myself. XXX
nice to meet you pam , I expect they keep you busy do they all get on well together , I will try sort a pic out but I'm hopeless with computers the air gets very blue at times when it doesn't do what I would like it to do
Haha. They keep me very busy, but I love them to bits. I bet that Tig keeps you busy too! XXX
yes he is a little [edited] at times
My friend has a dog called Ted and I think he should be Edi-ted - a real snappy little thing! Unlike my perfect angel Pippa of course.
he makes me go out each day which is good , as you cant beat having a daily dose of a few breaths of fresh air
hello tom60 my friend what say is an assterik? never heard of. I don't know how to put up pic either my friend when you figure it out drop a line will you? I have a big Italian Mastiff but she is a beauty. I have a touch of the sleepy disease so no walkies I am afraid but the neighboring boy takes her out for a long hike and ball playing. lol.
I'm sure that he keeps you amused. XXX
Hi Tom nice to here from you again, what breed of dog is Tig ? he sounds as if he likes a lot of fuss.
oh he does like a fuss he is a patterdale terrier he is 9 years old now , lovely boy some people say terriers are snappy but he is very good lets the grand children do anything to him ,
Hello Tom. Keep warm. 😊
thank you caspiana what a lovely little dog you have in you picture
We have a cat Aria, I post her pictures she is a good friend x
Hi Tom lovely to see you again like you I love animals, my favourite dogs are labs had 2 the yellow lab in my profile picture is Holly her pall was a black lab. We just have 2 cats now but will have another dog when the old man retires.
Glad to hear your stopping in keeping warm is your better half looking after you Tom
daisy the wife is wonderful she sorts all my medication doctors appointments ect , 41 years we been together , married 40 years I don't know how I would cope with out her , I love labs when the last one went we decided to get a patterdale bit smaller for us to look after , haven't had cats for years tig don't like them , when we first got married daisy wanted a cat I came home one night there was a tiny little kitten meowing a little ginger fluff ball , she grew into this large fluffy ginger cat she use to lay spread out on the arm on the chair for me to stroke in the evening , I'm a great animal love years back when I was a boy father rented some land we kept allsorts then good old days back then but I wont bore you with that ,

I'm married not for as long as you but you sound very happy with your lot and I think this is a great help our illness is bad enough to cope with and remember your not on your own.
I think life is what you make it , its great to have someone special in your life
I couldn't agree more Tom we can sit be miserable and let this illness rule our life or get on and have plenty of laughs along the way.
Your ginger cat sounds nice was it a girl cat 🐱
yes your so right , yes she was a girl.
My neighbour had a ginger female it was a really cute cat it would curl up at night in the bathroom sink.
when you get 5 minuets have a looks at tams posts he's not been on recently but he puts jokes on hear you will have a real belly laugh at his jokes he's a really nice chap.
what a place to sleep hey ,I like a good joke how would I find tams jokes as would like to have a read of those , I'm not feeling to good at moment with this chest infection did I tell you I have a chest infect I cant remember seems to have gone to my brain to or its the medication I have doctors Monday I might have to ask her , I seem to be imagining things its really worrying me
Tom I'm afraid it comes to us all nothing nice about getting old, your doing the right thing asking your GP I'm sure he will put your mind at rest. I take steroids when I have a chest infection and I find it difficult to sleep so lack of sleep can make you forgetful.
You should get another cat to curl up on your lap they are therapeutic you wouldn't have to get a kitten have a look at the rescue home near you and I'm sure your little dog would get used to it
early this after noon I made a cup of tea got a couple of biscuits put them on table by my chair tig sound a sleep in his bed daisy had gone shopping with daughter in law any way I pop to loo come back sat down no biscuits gone I got up not on floor I even check biscuits tin as they were last two still haven't found them now did I eat them and didn't realise had I forgotten did I get them earlier in day and hadn't got them then ,
Tom sorry can't help you with your biscuits though. I am sorry you asked how you find Tams posts stone will help you on that one
now I think I replied to stone about a spacer for inhaler
It's so nice to find other sick people and to unburden the feelings from inside and not be judged. So many people scoff because I have a lung disease and still enjoy a fag, do they not realize my fag is a comforting to me as their Scotch or spirit of choice may be. At least here I can come clean and not feel shame. I am working through it as best I can
I never judge anyone on what they do my dear , you have to do what you feel is best for you , it took me a long while to give in after I was diagnosed ,
Hi Tom its very difficult to give up smoking well done
I too have the love for animals, sometimes they can be more chatty then the hubby lol. My girl loves to be talked to, I don't think she understands a word but she lifts her head like she does lol
I love labs onamission mine is big and she needs other dogs that can match her strength.
That's Freddie, deceased, in my photo. Now I have Lovely Lola, age 2.5. She's 1/2 Tibetan Terrier, 1/4 cocker spaniel & 1/4 poodle. She's gorgeous, funny, clever & perfect in every way. Nice to meet you. Peege
sorry hear you lost Freddie he looks a lovely boy , Lola sound quite a mixture bet she is lively at 2.5 years old
Good evening tom60, I know what you mean about our British weather, I thought it was a bit milder today, great, turn off heating save a few bob lol. I have a ginger cat called Barney, he's a rescue cat and was very badly treated. We've had him just over a year now and absolutely adore him. He made us laugh with the Christmas tree, he looked at it for ages and then went up to it and knocked off one of the balbals and made a dash with it into the bedroom lol. He refuses to give it back and plays with it most of the evening. I wouldn't mind but when it becomes 2am and all you can hear is tap tap tap the novelty starts to wear off lol. 🙂
why do these people ill treat animals I just cant understand it , at least barney has a loving home now , I can imagine him with that Christmas tree ball , tig got one of those squeaky dog bones crazes me at time he loves it trouble is grand kids gave it to him so cant even hide it up never know when they will pop in ,
I know, you read so many horrible stories about mindless idiots that hurt animals and I absolutely hate it tom, it makes me really angry. Barney is our second rescue bless him, we had a little Yorkshire terrier called Gizzy and she was gorgeous, she was a daddy's girl and my husband loved the fact that she was so attached to him love her. Unfortunately she passed away just over two years ago, my god we were heart broken. We after a while wanted to adopt again so now we have Barney, so happy with him. I laughed about your little dog with the sqeeky toy lol, and yes you have to think about grandkids . What you can do is put it away and tell them he's buried somewhere in the garden. However, if they are anything like our grandkids they would go outside and look for it lol, ✋️😊
I so love the attitude on here to animals, so many of us seem to be owned by them; if I were you Tom I'd let your lad keep his squeaker, you get hardened to the noise in time - I simply turn my deaf-aid down a notch. If it gets too much perform a squeakectomy on the thing then he can shake it to death in peace.
When you get a dog they are your friend for life they never judge you they never answer you back and they don't bitch about you to other that's what I call a real friend and they deserve to be treated with the most respect. Tom as they get older they slow down joints seize up but still they are as loyal as the day you first brought him in to your home as a 6 week old pup
I am dazed and confused as I replied to comment but my answers are all bundled up together. I hope everyone sees I did make a try. My girl is looking for a snack she is bumping my arm, snack before bed I say.
I don't come on much and I think the rules have changed over the years hope your well ladygrace
I suppose you don't get a lot of time with a husband to care for , I know my daisy never stops , I'm sure she was born with a duster in one had and dustpan and brush in the other.

Tom my husband works away from home he's a engineer so I'm on my own a lot of the time which is not to bad till I get a chest infection that's why I always have pre made meals in my freezer.
oh your husband is called tom too what a coincidence , you don't see much of each other then , daisy and I only spent 4 nights part in 40 years
no Tom my husbands name is Simon sorry for the confusion.
we spent many nights apart when we first got married and up to a few years ago I worked permanent night shift we were like ships in the night I'm used to it and I said in another post I have a good bunch of friends and a good social life what about you what's your social life like what do you and Daisy get up to
I don't go out that much we have friends family visit daisy likes knitting , baking and tv ,I enjoy doing our garden , I should have gone to a chapel meeting to day but not well enough I cant do as much as I could but still help out at our little Methodist chapel I'm sort of like a church ward , we go to chapel every sunday morning but numbers are dwindling now , I was christened there , married there ,
What a lovely post Tom it showed that we still have caring people about I'm sure you will be well enough to go to chapel soon. I know what you mean about numbers dwindling the church up the road from me is beautiful but fewer people go these days soon and I went to midnight mass and we have a new vicar so I think I understand why now.
were you a choir boy Tom we used to go to Sunday school at the old tin chapel untill they knocked it down and built houses
no not a choir boy not a very good singer really
Tom it tends to rain when I sing so we make a good pair but did you know singing is a good way to exercise our lungs
yes I had been told that before , I suppose makes sense really , do you go to church or chapel , I not being nosy but did intrigued about you name onamission were you ever in the armed force or security forces ,
No Tom the vicar at my local church is so miserable you come out depressed life is for living is what I say.
My name onamission came about when I was diagnosed I came home cried then decided I was going to make it my mission to get on with my life and not allow this illness to take over
good attitude to have we should all get the most we possibly can out of life ,I know its difficult when your constantly ill day in day out but I'm afraid some dwell on being ill and eventually the illness becomes them they lose all sense of humour some people can become quite bitter , hope I never end up like that
seen so many like that Tom I'm sure you will never end up like that
