Hello Everyone. Just wanted to pass by. And Wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and hope you are all keeping as well as possible. I know I don't comment as much, but the helpful comments have usually been said to help our friends on this group Although I do come and check the headlines everyday via my Emails. As some of you remember I have a year of changes this year. My marriage has ended and I therefore starting a new single life in a new home and area. I also lost a very good friend earlier this year and we used to always go to Costa Blanca for the January and me for 2 months. This year I am down in Bournemouth for the duration of Christmas and New year and it's all very different and strange. Hope you all have a wonderful day with family and friends and Wish you all Continued fighting against this terrible disease in the New Year . Take care Everyone Best wishes Brian

The other day I had a chat with my sister in law and she said how there's times in life when it makes choices for you when we were looking back at a time many years ago it was Christmas 1998 and a goal for that year had been to say no to working over the summer of 1999!
What had happened was life stepped in and made the decision for me and I had ended up getting laid off then and the choice made for me after my job as a sandwich maker had ended in the May of 1999.
My sister in law said how you don't always get a choice in things as there's time when life decides for you and that was a fine example!
Yes your so right. Fate and luck play a part in your destiny and I have always said if you want something or someone. Just ask. Brian

How are you liking your new house?
Hope you have a wonderful Christmas too. Yes I have a retirement bungalow with a local housing group and although it's independent living. We have a warden available 5 mornings a week and emergency pull cord system for emergencies. So it's very nice. And we have everything in the small town where I live. Brian

Thanks so much. Yes it has been a very different year. I lost a very good friend in March who I used to meet up with in Spain every January and obviously with all the other changes in my life and then sadly my Aunt passed away early this morning. So it's certainly been a trying year. Hope your keeping as well as possible too. Brian

Often it's a case that change can bring good things as well as taking things away!
Like my sister in law said its often a case that life makes decisions for you and you don't always get a choice!
In regard to moving house yes I was upset and angry when the decision got made for me but now I feel that life is telling me it's time for a move and point is not everything in life is in our control.
I will resume house hunting after the festivities have finished and job hunting as well.
In regard to losing that job now I have accepted it and I feel yet again life had stepped in and told me no it's not right for you but still it wasn't very nice getting told I was being let go from there!
This was another example of how not everything in life is in our control.
