its arrived today in my bank my reveiw gone well taken 9 weeks to come....but not sure what ive been awarded.....

You could ring them (same number you rang to apply) and ask. You will need to quote your National Insurance number, and other info to prove your identity.

no letter yet....but money gone in bank...as i checked...come from pip...but unsure about award looks like one enhanced but not both...but if i get daily living enhanced thats the one i need for carers ..as im due my operation in january...and im hoping i can than claim carers allowance but unsure if i qualify??? but its definite backpay so must have one award...fingers crossed....

Hi

Carers Allowance is only paid if you care for another person, not your self.

If you receive the care component of PIP.

Then you can’t claim to be someones carer.

You can still claim carers allowance if you care for someone else and receive pip yourself! Mad but true!!!

ohh i see...thats good advice...will see whats been awarded than....so my carer has too claim for looking after me...is that right...i think thats what im asking for....get confused by this carers componante

Wait for your letter to come through, so you know you entitlement. Plus any other benefits. Then you can progress forward.

When you have all you information to hand, ring the Benefits Advisor at BLF 03000 030 555

To ensure there is no loss of other benefits greater then can be claimed by a carer.

ohh my ive received enhanced for both in shock.....will i get any premiums as esa havent paid me my money....them held back my monies....whats happening....not good...
