Are you seeing a consultant with a special interest in bronchiectasis? If not, you should be. From what you say, this is beyond your GP's management and definitely outside the knowledge of a nurse.
Aren’t you going to hospital to see a consultant? I would ask for a referral if you haven’t...Heart and lungs are all connected yes, you need that oxygen to keep going..94 is not bad. Under 90 is no good.
Pneumonia and infections take a lot out of you..
Having a good rest in between going out is normal...
Once you go to your heart specialist you should be in good hands. You have to keep pushing for specialist help.
I hope you don’t have to wait too long.
Phone the BLF helpline in the meantime to get extra info and help.
I have heart and lung problems as well as osteoporosis and depression and my GP did blood tests for vitamins and minerals. As a result I now take a variety of supplements, some prescribed, some she recommended, so it might be worth asking for a check for these. The main deficiencies were folic acid and vitamin D3. Worth a try if it hasn't already been done. You have to fight for yourself a lot of the time. I hope you feel better soon.
Have you been checked for sleep apnea? If you wake a lot in the night and snore, get your other half to see if you stop breathing for a minute or so. Apart from being very dangerous it will make you like a zombie in the day time as you never get that depth of sleep that refreshes you. Answer is a CPAP machine you use at night. I believe it also helps my bronchiectasis as I now get a decent sleep each night.
