Well. A day after my birthday, i was sitting down playing some dcuo and baaammm! My left lung felt like a ache and i coukd feel the air or lung moving while i sit up or laydown. I went to the hospital lastnight and had the chest tube inserted again. This time it didnt hurt or anything because they used a smaller needle and tube so i was laughing and talking during the process. Anyway, they said tbey might do surgery and im laying in hospital rn feeling hopeless. Iv been so depressed to because of all of this for the past few months. Then hear about people still ha ing collapses after surgery still. Or lifelong effects of some kind. What did i do to deserve this? Somebody please say something positive to make me feel better, i just need someone to talk to

What do u mean? What is talc and will i live to be old and stuff? Im only 19 im young

in reply toRaginggamer101

They stick it back with talc powder the best procedure if it is a larger pneumothorax like more than 25% if not no surgery needed you have to rest to heal

Good thing you are young so stronger!! You will fight this!!

Hello Raginggamer101 .

Hi very awful for you. It always seems never ending doesn't it? What you do have going for you is your youth. You will mend. Just give it time . Everything that happens to us makes us a little stronger and a little wiser.

Hang in there.

Cas xx 🍁😊

Of course it is. And you can't be happy and upbeat all the time. Even perfectly healthy people aren't. 😊

Raginggamer 101 I am so sorry you are going through this. It must be tough being only 19 and having this happen. Yes like so many others here have said you have youth and energy on your side. It is so much better for the healing process. And yes it can be scary having any surgery. But often it is not as bad as we think it will be. Hang in there. Hopefully you feel better soon and this will all be behind you. Prayers are going up for a safe and successful procedure. Do keep us posted as to how it all goes.

You didn’t do anything to deserve this, it just is what it is. We all have something and need to make the best of it we can. We’re still breathing and having birthdays and enjoying life to the best of our abilities. If you need to be reminded of how lucky you are pop up to the children’s ward and see how they react to illness. Nothing is ever as bad as it can be, there’s always worse. Choose happy, choose positive decide to be accepting and run with it. Remember there’s always someone with something worse who would gladly swap with you. Hope you’re well again soon x
