Thanks for all the replies, 24+ up to now, and help everybody, what a lovely group you are, and will try to answer as many Qs as I can that you asked.

In the past I have called the ambulance, had heart check etc, and things calmed down.

It's no use in stopping the inhalers I take, as they must have been given for a reason.

I take 3,5mg steroids daily & since taking the increase to 6 yesterday morning, I have started to feel a little better, and not as breathless as I was. I know taking steroids has side effects, as I have thinning skin & bruising on my arms & the back of my hands, which can easily bleed on the slightest knock, but which is better, not being able to breath, or a few bruises?

The Doc came to see me Friday, and when I told him about feeling tired all the time & completely knackered, he said it could be my age!!!!!

He checked my chest, and said it was quite clear, but gave me some Amoxicillin 500mg, so have started them as well.

I see a consultant every few months, and should see her in Nov, but had a letter last week, to say its been put back till Feb!!!

I do have a nebulizer, but to be honest, I dont feel any benefit from it, unless its doing something I am not aware of.

I will as suggested, call the COPD nurse tomorrow about having oxygen, which I have before, since now its got worse.

The heart scan I had a few weeks ago was positive, and normal for my age.

Once again, a big thanks for taking the time to reply, as you all must have health probs, so good luck, and byee for now. Ron x

Thank you for taking the time to reply ....but just one thought about your breathlessness and tiredness ...have you had a blood test to see if you are anaemic. Both I and my neighbour have breathing problems, but we were found to be anaemic as well recently.
