Nasty cough

I've have just been diagnosed with a severe chest infection.

I have now developed the most nasty cough I've ever had.

I'm feeling very poorly.

Anyone had this nasty cough, what did you do to help relieve it, and how long does it take to go, it kept me awake most of the night.

Hi Janlyn1953, I'm def no expert, only been diagnosed the past couple of months. My chest is the clearest it's been in a year, not sure why.

I've been brisk walking each day, and recently finished a 10 day course of ab, doing my breathing and huffing , daily, and now nothing comes up and no rattle at all! Keep thinking something big is waiting for me round the corner 😬. Lull before the storm? God I hope not 😢

Anyway hopefully someone will be able to help, coughing is awful and so tiring . So hope you get some relief very soon xxx

Hi.

Thank you for your reply, I suffer with Bronchectasis i was diagnosed last year so it's all new to me.

When I'm well I do quite a lot of walking with my little dog, I don't walk as fast as used to walk, but we still enjoy our walks in the woods.

I will have to have a word with my specialist, who I'm seeing in 2 weeks about going on some sore of course.

Do hope you manage to keep well. 😊

Are you ok in between your infections?

I have asthma too, also going in for an op a week tom cos I've had a hoarse voice for over a year and they've now found a cyst near my voicebox.

It's all doom n gloom for sure, never been at the hospital as much as I have the past few months x

Im sorry to hear that, such a worry for you.

I too have Asthma, and multiple Allergies, but to be honest I can deal with my Asthma that is well under control, it's this Bronchectasis that's getting me down..

Yes I'm okay in between inflections, but I do get out of breath quicker.

I get tired a lot more as well.

I am retired now, but then went to work at the weekends in my friends dolls house shop, which I enjoy.

Do keep in touch and let me know how you go on at the hospital.

Regards Janet.
