Incessant cough

I cough a lot, when I am lying down or sitting at an angle. I have adoration cough too. What’s most worrying is that I go dizzy when I cough. Sometimes I’ve passed out. GP just listens to my chest, lungs sound fine, nothing done about it. It’s frightening.

Sorry, I know how awful coughs can be. It sounds like they need to investigate it further so ai think you may have to insist on a referral to a respiratory specialist and in the meantime and X-ray. If the cough is making you pass out there's something a miss.

Meantime try sleep all propped up on lots of pillows and remember to drink plenty of water no hot drinks.

Here's a bad cough that's going around again, known officially as pertussis. You only know you've got it when a coughing fit strikes out of the blue and empties your lungs. You might be walking along the street at the time and then find that you cannot inhale because the lining of your airway has stuck to itself with no air in there. It seems quickly very dangerous as you "whoop" while trying to inhale. By luck maybe, you twist your body to get back out of the car, which seems too warm after the chilling air outside, and then your airway opens again and you feel your life is saved. The phlegm is coming up through gravity soss, sorry i cant help with your other problems except u have my sympathy
