Sore ears
Mackiedon.although its not exactly rocket science advice and i apologise if you have already tried but perhaps some non petroleum/water based skin moisturiser may help or perhaps your local pharmasist could advise and prescribe something suitable that may need an antiseptic ingredient if the area is inflamed,My wife used ky jelly but that was for nasal internal use to combat crustyness and dryness,i hope you manage to resolve it soon.........skis
Have you asked your oxygen supplier for the little foam ear guards mackiedon? Give them a ring and they will send some out.....
Hi mackiedon . You can try wearing the cannula differently for a while to relieve your ears. Have a look at the second option here:
This has never happened to me as I only use ambulatory (unless sick) but so good to see the advice everyone is coming up with.
I know exactly what you mean mackiedon. Mine got so bad I ended up with "sternum macloid " muscle something or other - very painful. I got some rubbery things from my oxygen providers but they have a slit in them and they kept falling off. In the end I bought some from ebay and my son dismantles the cannula tubing and slides them on. Good luck with whatever you choose. Sheila x
Sounds like it may be too tight. Try some foam under it to relieve the pressure. Lanacane do an anti-chaffing gel that might help. It's not cheap but a little goes a long way.
