She can't find any infection so has told me to stop the antibiotics I have to up the steroids and double one of my long acting inhalers that I take twice a day and 2 puffs ventolin 4 times a day plus extra when I need it

So will see how that goes xx

Had 7 chest infections last year. In November got diagnosed with ctd nsip lung led.since then have been on reducing dose of Prednisolone( currently 10 mg.

Also prophylactic antibiotics- azithromycin and cotrixamole alternate days.

Haven’t had a chest infection since, don’t feel well, but at least no chest infection, will be put on different meds soon as Prednisolone not really helping. Is anyone else in the same position?

Last year my gp couldn't find an infection but an X-ray I had later that day showed a massive infection: my GP now also uses my symptoms to diagnose and decide treatment.

Oh that's a bit worrying she did say yesterday if there was no improvement then to call 111 but I do feel a little better in myself this morning but to be honest I've hardly done very much since getting up so until I start moving around I wont really be able to gauge my breathing , will definitely keep this in mind though Ramy many thanks

Hope your day is a good one

If you are worried have you chest listened to again by someone else. .., I think that if you think you have a chest infection then you probably do! But feeling better is a brilliant sign... just be careful!

Oh I will be careful I had only been to the Dr on Wednesday for my regular review she also said my chest was clear so that two different medical people both saying the same thing sometimes when I get breathless I go into a blind panic and start my meds before I'm really sure I need them you'd think after this amount of time I'd know what I was doing 😳

Good Morning Cales, It Is Frightening when you want to Breathe and then maybe panic a little, I am on Oxygen and I have the inhalers, Ventolin I take as often as I want , My Resp. Nurses said up to 20 times a day if needed. I know my own Body and how my Good/bad days are Different. I take Symbicort & Genuair strong inhalers twice daily, prescribed 1 puff , depending how my breathing is, I will take 2 puffs. The Best Anti Biotic is Azithromycin taken Mon/Wed/Fri, Since being on them I have not had a Hospital Admission . The last three(14/15/16) Years I have been in Hospital, not this Year..I also read up on "Salt Pipes" and have had one for two Years, Though not Medically Prescribed , it works for me and my Doc's Know I have one, I take it to Hospital with me. The best Cure for me are the Two Lungs I hopefully will get, been waiting on List for 14 months. But, if I don't get my call by the end of this Year then I have told my Hubby we must Plan to Travel Abroad to see Grandchildren, can't wait around forever, haven't got the time !!! Just Relax, Exercise, and Please Cales always Stay Positive. Best Wishes and Have a Great Weekend. X CarolinaXxxx

Thank you so much for your reply , I have everything crossed for you to get two new lungs you wont know yourself :-) ....... as for the salt pipe there was a gentleman at the PR course I went on last year that had one and he swore by his ....... I did order from amazon a Himalayan Salt lamp as these are supposed help but sadly it never arrived and had to argue to get my money back which has put me off ordering again :-( .

I do some exercise and try very hard to relax and stay positive its just some days its hard to .

Have a wonderful weekend Carolina and take care xxxx
