Referral to royal Brompton hospital

I've not been on hear since last year (ish).

I'm told I'm moderate by respiratory clinic. My gp says I'm higher and trying to get me good meds.

So he refers me back to respiratory clinic and was told by consultant that there's not a lot he can do?

Poor attitude from start.

But remember we're talking about a hospital which CQC berated.

I've gone back to gp only to discover that I'm being referred to royal Brompton hospital for trials and if at all coils or transplant????

My gp has tried calling consultant to get more info as my gp isn't sure what's involved?

Could anyone on here who is going through any trials coil insertions or transplant?

Give me more info about this kind of treatment.

I'm 50yr old. Stopped smoking 11 months ago.

Pulmonary rehab was not for me due to blood pressure.

So would be brilliant if you guys could enlighten me?

Many Thanx in advance

Hi, I was involved in a trail at the Royal Brompton for targeted lung denervation, if you go on the Brompton web page & look under active trails you will be able to read about the coils trail & what it involves...the staff are amazing I have nothing but praise for the research team & anything is worth trying to help you feel better...good luck 👍

Hi

Has your denervation made a difference?

Thanks

Unfortunately I've had a few chest infections since so I think that's knocked me back initially, so I can't say I feel better at the moment, but everyone's different & they have had some more positive results from this particular trial.
