I give up even your little birds are more colourful down south,Sadly one of a small gang of sparrows that take nuts and seeds and use our bird bath committed Harikari on the patio door window yesterday, they often fly into the window dependant on the suns position and on most ocassions they survive and after a short period of recovery fly off again.Unfortunately even my sad attempts of resuscitation couldn't help this little thing and i had to put her in a quiet corner untll she took her final flight to meet her maker.I must be getting bloody soft in my old age.Scruffy was sad too because i wouldn.t let her out until the birds spirit was free.Later Scruffy did the decent thing and buried the remains but only after 30mins of evil cat play.Anybody out there want an evil tabby creature?......skisxx

Lol poor little bird but at least you let it have a last flight to meet the maker before letting your little feline companion loose to do what comes natural to her ....she sounds like she has the devil inside her but in a good way mischief maker...

Quite often my parrots "hold claws" usually during an argument, a case of grab hold and squawk " (read the riot) act at the other. A raising of one foot in the air and holding it out is also a signal to "stop it" just like a policeman on point-duty signaling a car to stop. Birds can have body language too.
