Why is it you can put a forkful of food down your throat no problem, but gag on the smallest tablet possible 😫

My husband used to be like that. Hope you are okay. I have no problem taking tablets. I take 11 tablets in the morning in one go. Xx

Yes I hate the taste that steroids leave. Maybe try putting one in a piece of bread or something else and see if that helps xx

Yay, Prednisolone sandwiches. Do you put ketchup on them too :)

Can't beat 'em with or without the ketchup.

Me too, fortunately never had a problem

I take steroids 2/3 at a time and put then in the back of my tongue. Then I take a big swallow of water and they always just float off and down. It's the uncoated ones I struggle with as they tend to stick.

Hi Budgie,

Like Nottobad, I take about 11 tablets all in one go, that's without the steroids & AB's. Sometimes I find taking them with milk is better than with just water, whether its the fats in the milk that helps them go down easier I don't know. I find having a slice of bread after does help too, especially the dry white tablets (paracetamol is worst for me).

Me too, I can take up to a dozen in one go, usually before my breakfast porridge.

Hi there Budgie1954 but I have no answer to your question- although I totally agree, the little tablets are always worse for me,which also makes no sense!!

It does sound like good advice to drink milk when your taking them

I also had this problem but I find that taking them with a small pot of drinking yoghurt such as actimel works a treat.
